Born in Frostburg, he was the son of the late James P. and Mayme (Counihan) Kenney. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice (Doolan) Kenney; one son, Edward Kenney, Lonaconing; two daughters, Mrs. John Bean, Barton, and Mrs. James Foote, Lonaconing; six brothers, Paul Kenney, James Kenney, Joseph Kenney and Bernard Kenney, all of Frostburg; Francis Kenny, of Cumberland, and Raymond Kenney, Montana; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Snyder, Cumberland, and Mrs. Rita Carter, LaVale, and 14 grandchildren. A member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mr. Kenney was a piano teacher and played for several orchestras in the area. The body is at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Michael's Thursday at 11 a.m. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home Wednesday at 8:30 p.m." This file is located at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/obits/k/kenney-i.txt
