The News, Cumberland, Maryland, 18 Apr 1966: 
"Richard E. Keyes Jr. 64, died Saturday at his residence. He had been 
in failing health for five years. Mr. Keyes was born in Barton and was 
a son of Mrs. Mary (Muir) Keyes and the late R. E. Keyes Sr. He was a 
contract plasterer and was a member of Plasterers Local 296, 
Cumberland, and of the Barton Presbyterian Church. Also surviving are 
his wife, Mrs. Elsie (Plaskett) Keyes; one son, Robert R. Keyes, 
Barton; two brothers, Albert and Nelson Keyes, both of Lonaconing and 
two grandchildren. The body is at the Boal Memorial Chapel where a 
service will be conducted. today at 2p.m. by Rev. Harry Jenkins, 
pastor of Barton Methodist Church. Interment will be in Laurel Hill 
Cemetery, Moscow."
