The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, 6 Mar 1891: 
"Mr. August Kolberg died at his home in Westernport Wednesday 
aged 65 years, 3 months and 7 days. The deceased was born at 
Broamsburg, Russia, {sic-Braunsberg, Prussia} June 27, 1825 and 
came to the United States in 1852, locating first at Mt. Savage, 
then at Eckhart and Barton, moving to Westernport in 1861. He 
was a carpenter and contractor and erected many buildings along 
the "Creek". He leaves a wife to mourn for him. The funeral takes 
place Friday at St. Peters Catholic Church."
