Aug. 31, 1937 Pg. 13 Grafton, W. Va., Aug. 31 - A two day illness proved fatal at 7:10 o'clock Saturday night to Mrs. Florence Etta Lang, 64 years old, at her residence in Newburg. A heart disease was responsible for her sudden demise. A daughter of John H. and Abigail Peckenbaugh Squires, Mrs. Lang was born at Scott's Hill on April 7, 1872, and had lived in Preston county all of her life. Her husband, Jasper N. Lang, a retired B. and O. engineer, survives, as do the following children: Mrs. Beulah Geldbaugh, Fairmont; Mrs. Milderd Bowmer, Pittsburgh; Dan G. Lang, at home; Mrs. Robert Heins, of Newburg; and Miss Sue Lang, at home. Two brothers, Guy Squires, of Parsons, and John D. Squires, of Uppington, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Turnley, Newburg, Mrs. Gertrude Ketzner, of Cumberland, and Mrs. Lulu Pelton, of Akron, Ohio, are other immediate survivors. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Newburg M. E. church, with the Rev. Stonking Groves, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the K. of P. cemetery.
