"The Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Fri 26 Jul 1940: 
"Piedmont, W. Va., Jul 26-John R. Lannon, 78, formerly of Piedmont, 
died Tuesday morning at Cleveland, Ohio where he moved more than 20 
years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Collins Lannon, and 
one son, James Lannon, of Cleveland. A daughter, Mrs. Harry Culbertson, 
died about six years ago. The late Mrs. Mary Morgan and Mrs. Catherine 
Dunn, were sisters."
