Piedmont, W. Va., Dec 18--Mrs. Margaret J. Lannon, 73, 
formerly of here, widow of Peter Lannon, died Wednesday 
at the home of her niece, Mrs. Connor Mowen, 37 1/2 East 
Franklin street, Hagerstown.  A native of Bordon Shaft, 
Allegany county, a daughter of the late John and Mary 
Thompson, she moved here about 27 years ago following 
the death of her husband.  Surviving are five children, 
Mrs. Sarah Crowe, Lonaconing; Mrs. Margaret Ahern, 
Westernport; Mrs. William G. Conway, Mrs. A. D. Whitehair 
and Mrs. Earl Blake, all of Cumberland, and three 
grandchildren.  The body was brought to Fredlock's 
Funeral Home, Here, yesterday.  Funeral services were 
held this morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church with 
requiem high mass with the Rev. Leon Warcznski, assistant 
pastor, officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's 
Cemetery." 

Note-this appeared in one of the Cumberland newspapers in 1942.
