"WINDSOR, N.C.-Clifford Edward LaRue, 58, of Rt. 2, Windsor, foreman of Rte. #4 
paper machine at Weyerhaeuser Paper Company, died July 27, 1987 at Pitt County 
Memorial Hospital. Mr. LaRue was born October 7, 1928 in West Virginia to the 
late Louis and Mabel Sheets LaRue. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was 
a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lois McKay 
LaRue; daughters, Mrs. Cindy Spruill of Creswell and Mrs. Sheryl Gibson of 
Plymouth; sons, William LaRue and Robert LaRue, both of Windsor, Michael LaRue 
and Kenneth LaRue, both of Plymouth; deceased son, Louis Edward LaRue, sister, 
Mrs. Donna Flick of Westernport, Md.; brothers, Eugene LaRue of Keyser, W.Va. 
and Norman LaRule of Rollins, Md.; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild. 
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Baptist Church in 
Windsor. Rev. Bobby Owens and Rev. Freddie Harris will officiate. Burial will 
follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be 
made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad."
