Lashorn, of LaVale, formerly of Piedmont, who died Saturday night in Memorial hospital, Cumberland. Pallbearers were Carl H. Ledlow, of Chicago; Claude and Charles Kight, Henry Johnson, Robert Jackson and George Keller. Rev. John U. Lyness, of St. Patrick's church, led a recitation of the Rosary Tuesday night at the Kight funeral home in Cumberland. Mr. Lashorn died an hour after being admitted to the hospital. He had moved to LaVale from 214 Pulaski street, Cumberland, only two days before his death. A native of Piedmont, he was a son of the late Joseph and Matilda Dorsey Lashorn. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. Before moving to Cumberland 13 years ago, he was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church and a member of the Holy Name society. Lashorn was an outstanding player on the Piedmont high school basketball team from 1913 to 1916 and participated in football and basketball both in and out of school. He was also prominent in many local talent minstrel shows that were held in the opera house. Local men who participated with him in these minstrel shows acted as pallbearers at the funeral. Surviving Mr. Lashorn are his wife, the former Alice Harden; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Young, Patterson, N.J., and Mrs. Robert Kuhlman, of Cumberland; two sons, Charles J.
