Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Fri 23 Oct 1942: 
"Lonaconing, Md., Oct. 23-Funeral services for David Lauder, 
68, were held yesterday afternoon with the Rev. Lewis F. 
Ransom, pastor of the Methodist church, Lonaconing, 
officiating. Mr. Lauder, a retired shoe merchant, died Monday. 
Georges Creek Valley Lodge No. 161, A. F. and A. M.  were in 
charge. Pallbearers were R. Hilary Lancaster, E. Williams and 
Harry Hitchins, Frostburg, and David Miller, John Ritchie and 
John McAlpine, Lonaconing. Among those attending were Mr. and 
Mrs. William Lauder and children, Elizabeth, Robert and James, 
Elizabeth, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. John Lauder and family, Clifford 
and Christine, Belle Vernon, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. John 
Somerville, Bridgeport, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Logsdon, 
London, Ontario; Mr. and Mrs. George Pollock, Perryopolis, 
Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bruce, Liberty, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. 
William Munn, Altoona, Pa.; and Parker Wilkinson, Akron, Ohio. 
Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow."
