He was he husband of the late Katherine (Long) Layman. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Minnick, Wilmington, Del.; Mrs. James Dawson, Washington; Mrs. George Drew, Midlothian, and Mrs. Clifford Bevan, Jr., Frostburg; four sons, Raymond Layman, Shaft; Charles and Paul Layman, both of Baltimore and George Layman, Frostburg; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Byrnes, Mrs. Samuel Nat, and Mrs. Joseph Koelker, all of Cumberland; Mrs. C. J. Wolfe, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Fuller Davis, Frostburg; two brothers, Benjamin Layman, Syracuse, N.Y., and Lawrence Layman, Alexandria, Va.; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a retired Celanese worker and a member of Shaft Methodist Church. The body is at the residence, where services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p. m. Rev.
