August 29, 1946 Thomas Lewis, 49, who trained rare horses belonging to Police Commissioner William V. Keegan for the past ten years, died early this morning at the Charles Town (W. Va.) Hospital where he had been a patient 13 weeks. Mr. Lewis had been in ill health almost a year , and during yesterday's program at Fairgo, two of the horses he trained here in 1945, ran first. They were "Ted O" and "Maryland Morn". Born October 27, 1896 in Upshur county (West Virginia), he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Wave Lewis, a son, Patrick, and two sisters. The body will be taken to Buckhannon, W. Va., for burial. Arrangements are incomplete.
