Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Wed 5 Feb 1947:  
"Winchester, Pa., Rites For Arthur L. Likens, 47-year-old Nain merchant, who died 
Sunday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Amanda Farrabee, Cedar Grove, after a 
lingering illness, were conducted this afternoon at the Farrabee residence. Burial 
was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.  He was a son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Likens, 
Mineral county, W. Va.  Also surviving are four brothers, William E. Likens, 
Lonaconing, Md.; Frank E. Likens, Bismarck, W. Va.; and Elmer F. and Thomas E. 
Likens, Antioch, W. Va., and another sister, Mrs. Celia M. Elkins, Keyser, W. Va."
