"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Monday 5 Feb 1945: "
Logsdon Rites-Barton, Feb 6-A funeral mass for Mrs. Ellen Logsdon, 63, widow of the late 
James T. Logsdon, who died at her home here Saturday night, will be held at St. Gabriel's 
Catholic Church, Barton, at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic 
church cemetery, Westernport. A native of Barton, she was a daughter of the late James 
and Jane (Lamont) Kirk and was a member of St. Gabriel's church. She is survived by a 
son, James Clement Logsdon, who resided with her; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Longridge, 
Barton, and Mrs. Agnes Baker, National, and one brother, Martin Kirk, Barton."
