"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Tuesday 4 April 1950: "
HYMDMAN, Pa.-George W. Logsdon, 89, died this morning at the residence of his son, 
Oscar Logsdon, near here. He was born July 4, 1860, in Palo Alto, a son of the late 
William and Mary (Burkett) Logsdon. His wife, the former Miss Harriet Mason, 
preceded him in death. Surviving are two other children, Irvin Logsdon, Hyndman, 
and Mrs. Emma Lenhart, Cumberland. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home. Services 
will be conducted Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. in Palo Alto Church by Rev. Charles Raley. 
Interment will be in Cooks's Mills Cemetery."
