Logsdon, 63, was fatally shot Feb. 1 during an apparent robbery attempt in the parking lot of the Government Printing Office, where he had worked as a pressman since 1963. D.C. police said he was pronounced dead at the Washington Hospital Center. Investigators said Andre Durell Malone of Washington was arrested Feb. 4 and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident. Police said their investigation was continuing. Mr. Logsdon, who lived in Silver Spring, was born in Barton, Md. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II. After the war, he became a pressman with Judd & Detweiler, a printing company, and remained there until he joined the GPO. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Hyattsville. His wife, Helen, died in 1973. Survivors include two children, Linda Mollet of Gaithersburg, and Donna Capps of Canyon Lake, Calif.; two brothers, James, of Washington, and Hugh, of Landover; three sisters, Anna Manuel of Edgewater, Md., Marie Rector, of Pennsylvania and Virginia Fawbush, of Cheverly, Md., and three grandchildren."
