Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland Thu 27 Dec 1956: 
"Barton-Mrs. Mary Ann Logsdon, 92, widow of William T. 
Logsdon, died yesterday at her home here following a 
recent illness. a native of Scotland, she was a daughter 
of the late John and Martha McGimpsey and came here with 
her parents 87 years ago. She was a member of Barton 
Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs. Charles Howell and Mrs. Henry Howell, both of 
Barton; three sons, John P. Logsdon, Barton, William 
Logsdon, Barton, and Charles S. Logsdon, Arlington, Va.; 
two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Snyder and Mrs. Ella McCutcheon, 
both of Washington, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-
grandchildren. The body is at the residence. Services 
will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Barton 
Presbyterian Church by Rev. Ellwood F. Carey, pastor, 
and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow."
