DANIEL LOGSDON--BARTON - Mrs. Mary C. (Mama Mae) Logsdon, 67, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, where she had been a patient two days. A native of Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late John Martin and Matilda Barry, and was the wife of Daniel (Kenny) Logsdon. The body is at the Boal Funeral Home." Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland, 25 Sep 1967: "MRS. DANIEL LOGSDON--BARTON -Mrs. Mary C. (Mama Mae) Logsdon, 67, died Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, where she had been a patient two days. A native of Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late John Martin and Matilda (Ross) Barry, and was the widow of Daniel L. (Kenny) Logsdon. Mrs. Logsdon operated the Mama Mae Tavern at Barton for 13 years. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church here, The Third Order of St. Francis, The Blessed Mother Sodality of St. Mary's Church, Lonaconing and the Barton Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, John W. Logsdon, Baltimore; Patrick Kenny Logsdon, Frostburg; five daughters, Mrs. Rita Hartley, Mt. Pleasant Beach, Baltimore; Mrs. Marianne McGreevy, Barton; Mrs. Patricia Keyes, Barton; Mrs. Eleanor Sheally, Detroit; Mrs. Monica Mason, Lonaconing; one brother, Earl Barry, Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. Daniel Scott, Turtle Creek, Pa.; Mrs. Hazel Gundlock, Weston, W. Va., and 25 grandchildren. Requiem mass will be celebrated today at 9:30 in St. Gabriel's Church here and interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lonaconing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Allegany County League for Crippled Children."
