A resident of Geneva for the past seven years, she formerly lived in Eckhart. Born in Frostburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Ellen (Neilson) Atkinson. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Daughters of America. Survivors include her husband, Samuel Long Sr.; a daughter, Mrs. Maryellen Perdew, LaVale; eight sons, Stephen Long, US Army, stationed at Reese Air Force Base, Lubbock, Tex.; Samuel Long Jr., Gerald Long and Howard Long, all of Geneva; Raymond Long, Cumberland; James Long and Larry Long, both at home, and Frederick Long, US Navy, stationed at Coronado Naval Base, San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Crabtree, Port Clinton, Ohio, and Mrs. Thelma Deal, Cumberland, and one brother, Elmer Atkinson, Cleveland.
