"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Wed 17 Jul 1945: 
"Mt. Savage-The bells of St. Patrick's church here will toll this 
afternoon, when the body of Rev. James Edward Malloy arrives from 
Washington, where he died, to be taken into the church. The body 
will lie in state in the church and the men of the parish will 
form a guard of honor at the bier throughout the night. A solemn 
requiem mass will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock and 
interment will be in the church cemetery. The services will be in 
charge of Mt. Savage Council No. 1058, Knights of Columbus. A 
requiem mass was read this morning in St. Francis de Sales Church, 
Washington, where Father Malloy was pastor the past 19 years. 
Relatives attending the rites there and who will accompany the 
body here include Mrs. Alice McNamee, Miss Nellie Tansey, Mrs. 
Mary Thompson, Mrs. William Farrell, Miss Martha Reagan, Mrs. Ryan 
Farrell, Thomas Stephens and Thomas McNamee."
