The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 21 June 1907: 
"Death of Mrs. Julia Malone. Mrs. Julia Malone, wife of Mr. John 
Malone, died at her home below St. Peter's Catholic church, 
Westernport, at 8:40 Saturday morning, June 15, 1907, aged about 
85 years. Mrs. Malone was a native of Ireland, came to this 
country about 1850, and settled in this community in the early 
fifties, where she has made her home since. She is survived by 
her husband, who is in feeble health, two children by a former 
marriage, Mrs. P. F. White, of Westernport, and Mr. James White, 
who reside in the far west, and three sons by her last marriage, 
Messrs. John, Daniel and Frank Malone, each of whom reside in 
the west. The funeral was held at nine o'clock Wednesday morning 
in St. Peter's Catholic church, with Requiem Mass, Rev. Thos. E. 
Gallagher, officiating. The pall bearers were as follows, all 
being grand-sons of the deceased: Messrs. John P. F. White, of 
Washington, D. C; John and Frank White, of Baltimore, Md.; and 
Michael, Thomas and Charles White, of Westernport. Mr. and Mrs. 
Frank Malone, of Ogden, Utah, were present at the funeral."
