Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland Mon 26 May 1930: 
"Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Martha Mansfield, aged 83 
years widow of Capt. W. K Mansfield, who died Wednesday, 
were held with solemn requiem mass, Saturday morning from 
St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. A. Scarpati, pastor, was 
celebrant; Rev. Dr. William E. Kelly, Hancock, a former 
assistant pastor, deacon; Rev. Joseph A. Garvey, St. 
Patrick's Church, Baltimore, sub-deacon, and Rev. J. A. 
Soucy, assistant pastor, master of ceremonies. Rev. 
Carroll Kerr, Cathedral, Baltimore, was in the sanctuary. 
The pallbearers were: Borden S. Scribner, Washington, D. 
C.; Walter A. McGlannan, Francis McGlannan, Catonsville, 
Md., Frank Mansfield, Thomas Mansfleld, Westernport, 
grandsons, and Carr Getty, Westernport. Among these who 
attended the funeral were: Mrs. W. A. McGlannan, 
Catonsville, Md., and Mrs. B. W. Scribner, Washington, 
D. C."
