J.C. Martens		
Mount Savage, Md., March 24		
  J.C. Martens, aged 89, died Wednesday at the home of his grand-		
daughter, Mrs. H. R. Petenbrink, this place.		
  He is survived by nine children as follows; Mrs. Amial Sweltzer, Mrs. Peter 
Michaels, Mrs. E.J. Adamson, Mrs. Sara Roberta Getty and Mrs. Lawrence 
Winebrenner and	Henry, Chris, William and John Petenbrink (Martens).  There are	
54 grandchildren and 49 great grand children.  John H. Martens,	Somerset, Pa., 
is a brother.		
  He formerly lived at Wellersburg, Pa., where the funeral will be held		
Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock with burial in Cook's Cemetery.
