Mrs. Sophia W. (Smouse) Martin -  Altoona, Pa., Nov. 26 -
   Mrs. Sophia W. (Smouse) Martin, wife of Harry E. Martin of 322 Fourth 
Avenue, a retired passenger engineer, died Tuesday afternoon.
   Born near Martinsburg, July 14, 1870, she was a daughter of Levi and Anna 
(Wineland) Smouse.
   Members of the family include the husband, a niece reared in the Martin 
home, Miss Carrie Peters, two brothers, Ruben W. of Hollidaysburg and Jerome 
W. Smouse of Hyndman R. D. and two sisters, Mrs. Katie Dilling of 
Fredericksburg and Mrs. Annie Burget who resides at the Martin home.
