McCabe, died at 8:20 a. m. yesterday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Helen V. Evans, Baltimore, following a brief illness. Mrs. McCabe was born in Paisley, near Edinburgh, Scotland, and came to Allegany county shortly before the Civil War, with her husband, who was a native of County Tyrone, Ireland. She was well-known in the George's Creek Valley. Mrs. McCabe was the mother of twelve children, four of whom survive: Mrs. Robert Reynolds and Mrs. Robert Flynn, Wilkinsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Helen V. Evans, Baltimore, and Michael McCabe, Jr., of Nikep, Md., Mrs. Oliver H. Bruce, Jr., this city, is a grandchild. Mrs. McCabe also leaves eighteen other grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7 a. m., tomorrow, at SS. Philip and James Catholic church, Baltimore, with burial in St. Gabriel's cemetery, Barton, at 2 p. m. tomorrow."
