Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, April 26, 1907:  
"Mrs. McConnell, one of Midland's oldest women, died at the home of her son, 
Mr. Thomas McConnell, in Paradise, yesterday.  She was 85 years old and until 
a few weeks ago made her home with the late Mrs. Samuel Tersize {sic-Trezise}, 
on Back street.  She came to this country from Irelandmany years ago and has 
always made her home in the vacinity of Midland.  She was a life-long 
follower of the Roman Catholic religion.  She is survived by the following 
sons: Mr. Thomas McConnell, of Midland, Bernard, patrick, Peter and James. 
She was the mother of the late Mrs. Tersize {sic-Trezise}."
