"The News" Cumberland, Maryland, Sat 4 Jan 1969: 
"Keyser-Francis Joseph McDade, 64, of McCoole, was dead on arrival at 
Potomac Valley Hospital. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late 
Charles and Ellen (Begley) McDade. He was a member of the Church of 
the Assumption and the Brotherhood of Railway Trackmen.  Surviving 
are his widow, Margaret (Burns) McDade; five daughters, Mrs. Bertha 
M. Miller, Niles, Ohio; Mrs. Delores Grimm, McKeesport, Pa.; Mrs. 
Geraldine Shoemaker, Mrs. Mary Ellen Hunt, Mrs. Patricia Howdersholt, 
all of McCoole; three sisters, Mrs. John Kelley, Mrs. Elizabeth 
Sullivan, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Paul Patrician, Baltimore; a half brother, 
Larry Donahoe, Cumberland; 15 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. The body is at the Markwood Funeral Home where friends 
will be received after 1 p.m. today and rosary will be recited at 8 
p.m. tomorrow. Requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. at 
the Church of the Assumption. Burial will follow at St. Thomas 
Cemetery, here."
