James R. McElfresh, 102, of Wiley Ford, died Sunday, 5/17/1998, at
Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood, WV. 

Born March 3, 1896, in Marion County, he was the son of the late Mr. &
Mrs. Joshua McElfresh.  He also is preceded in death by one brother,
George McElfresh.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family.

Surviving is his wife, Hanna McElfresh.

There will be a graveside service held on Weds. at 2 p.m. with Pastor
Paul E. Dietz officiating.

Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
