The Piedmont Herald 2 Mar 1950 

Requiem mass for Michael J. McGreevy, 49, who died Sunday in Baltimore City 
Hospital, Baltimore, was held this morning at St. Peter's Catholic church 
by the Rev. Charles Quinn, assistant pastor.  Interment was in Philos 
cemetery.  Military honors were accorded by Kelly-Mansfield Post American 
Legion.  Pallbearers were Thomas Niland, John Kelly, Frank Footer, Charles 
Stuart, John Bashure and Charles Ross.  A native of Barton, Mr. McGreevy was 
a son of the late Michael and Anna Footen McGreevy.  He was reared in 
Piedmont and attended school here.  During World War II, he served in the 
army.  He had lived in Baltimore for the past three years.  He was a member 
of St. Peter's Catholic church .  Surviving are five brothers, John, Thomas, 
Francis and Emmet McGreevy of Piedmont.

 

NOTE: this obituary shows his name as Michael J. McGreevy.  This is incorrect.  
The correct name is Michael Leo McGreevy.
