James McGregor -
   James D. McGregor, 76, of John F. Kennedy Apartments, died yesterday at 
Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient one day.
   Born in Midlothian, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Dempster) 
McGregor.
   A retired iron worker, he had worked from Ironworkers Local 556.
   Surviving are his widow, Emma Mae (Meagher) McGregor; a daughter, Miss 
Janet Louise McGregor, city; four sons, James McGregor, Bowling Green;  Paul 
McGregor, LaVale;  George and Galen McGregor, Cumberland; a sister, Mrs. James 
Layman, Flint, Mich., and a brother, William McGregor, Frostburg; 15 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   The body is at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence, where friends will be 
received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
   A service wil be conducted there tomorrow at 1 p.m. Rev. W. Randolph Keefe 
Jr., will officiate.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
   Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be James W. McGregor Jr., George R. 
McGregor II, Donald, Galen, Paul and Terrence McGregor.
