Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 10 May 1957: 
"John Bernard McHugh, 82, died this morning at his home, 106 Potomac 
Street following an extended illness. Born at Lonaconing, he was a 
son of the late Thomas and Mary (Conway) McHugh. A retired employe 
of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, Mr. McHugh was a member 
of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Firemen. 
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl (Raley) McHugh, two sons, Thomas 
McHugh, this city, and John McHugh, Detroit; a daughter, Miss Mary G. 
McHugh, at home; a brother, Michael McHugh, Pittsburgh, and a 
grandchild. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home."
