Sunday Times, Cumberland, Maryland May 14, 1939:  
"The body of Mrs. Christina McKenna, 75, widow of Edward McKenna, who died 
Friday in Washington, D. C., arrived here last night and was taken to the 
home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Bernard Ellis, 114 North Allegany street, 
pending the funeral tomorrow in Lonaconing.  Mrs. McKenna formerly lived 
in Barton and Midland, moving to Washington about 14 years ago.  She is 
survived by the following children, Joseph F., Mrs. Ollie Gregory and Mrs. 
Anna Frits, Baltimore; Edward and Mrs. Maurice H. Murray, Washington; ten 
grandchildren and eight great grandchildren."
