Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Monday, January 9, 1939:  
"Mrs. Elizabeth McKenna, 59, of Midland, died this morning in Washington.  
The body will be brought to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bernard Ellis, 
114 North Allegany street, this city.  Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. 
Bernard Boch and two sons, James and Joseph McKenna, all of Washington.  
She was a daughter of the late John James Spitzer."
