Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Friday, August 14, 1942:  
"Westernport--James McKenna, 82, single, Barton, retired mine laborer, died 
yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he was a patient since March.  
A native of Frostburg, he was a son of the late Patrick and Catherine (Conroy) 
McKenna, and had lived in Barton for 60 years.  The body remains at Boal's 
funeral home.  A sister, Miss Mary Jane McKenna, survives."
