BARTON "John Richard McPartland, 64, died yesterday at his home. Born in Lonaconing, 
he was a son of the late Patrick A. and Mary (Higgins) McPartland. He was a member 
of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, the Gasco Club, Keyser, and Lonaconing Rotary 
Club, and was a retired employee of the Columbia Gas Company. Surviving are his 
widow, Monica (Arnold) McPartland; a son, Richard McPartland, Taneytown; three 
daughters, Mrs. Mary Fratino, New Carrollton; Mrs. Sally Borgman, Lonaconing, and 
Mrs. Patricia Hyde, Hagerstown; a brother, James J. McPartland, Jr., here;a sister, 
Mrs. Mary McFarland, Frostburg and 10 grandchildren. The body is at the Boal 
Memorial Chapel where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. The rosary will 
be recited there tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday 
at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery."
