She lived with her husband and family on Buck Hill, now St. Mary’s Terrace, for a number of years, and after Mr. Meyers’ death removed with her grown sons and daughters to Cumberland. Deceased was 81 years old and her death was due to heart disease, the end coming suddenly. She had been with her son, John Meyers, and died there at three o’clock Wednesday morning. The remains were later taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Rohman, on North Lee Street, whence the funeral took place this morning, services being held in SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, and interment in the cemetery connected to that parish. She is survived by five grown children, Travis Meyers, of Pittsburgh, Joseph and John Meyers, Mrs. Martin Rohman and Miss Mary Meyers, all of Cumberland. Mrs. Meyers will be remembered by the older residents as a kindly and neighborly lady who did much good work and who was kind and sympathetic at all times.” This file is located at http://files.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/obits/m/meyers-m.txt
