Miller, 71, dropped dead late yesterday from a heart attack In apparent good health, Dr. Miller was working in the yard of his home when he was stricken at 4:30 p.m. He was dead when found by his wife. The physician, widely known throughout this section of Pennsylvania, was a native of Somerset county, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Mousser Miller. He had practiced medicine here for 38 years. He had previously practiced dentistry for several years. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and Baltimore Medical college. An active Mason, Dr. Miller was also a member of Altoona's Jaffa Temple of the Mystic Shrine. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Agnes Wolford Miller; three sons, William and Samuel Miller, Los Angeles, Calif., and Frank Miller Long Island, N.Y.; four brothers Robert Miller, Hydman; Albert Miller, Garrett; William Miller Shanksville; and John Miller, Ohio; and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Lindemann, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Norma Trent Friedens; and Mrs. Phoebe Clatter and Mrs. Nellie Warner-Garrett. The body will remain at Ziegler's funeral home.
