Born in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Alonza and Mary (Walsh) Miller. He was a retired Celanese employee, a member of the Senior Citizens and the former postmaster on Nikep. Surviving are his widow, Bertha (Rowe) Miller; four daughters, Nondis Sabers, Cumberland; Thelma McKenzie, Gilmore; Delores Arnold, Denver and Maxine (Murphy) Gowans, Westernport, and a stepdaughter, Virginia Whitacre, Ridgeley; three sons; William Miller, Keyser; Raymond J. Miller, Lonaconing; Russell Rowe Miller, Vale Summit; one stepson, F. Quail Miller, Baltimore; a sister Della Mellon, Miami; a brother, Joseph Miller, Scottsdale, Arizona; 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 until 9 PM today and 2 until 4 and 9 until 9 PM tomorrow. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Gabriel's Church, Barton. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery.
