His body was located by his brother, Gory Mills, his failure to return home having resulted in a search for him. Mr. Mills had been in the B & O employ many years. His death occurred on his 49th birthday. He is survived by his wife and following children: Mrs. Walter Blubaugh, Lonaconing; Mrs. Frank Cowatch, Westernport; Catherine, Winnie, Margaret, Annie, Celie, John, Patrick, Lawrence and Joseph Mills, at home, and Pvt. Francis D. Mills, sea going depot, Paris Island, S.C. Two brothers, William Mills, Cumberland, and Gory Mills, Lonaconing; and five sisters, Mrs. James Burke, Cumberland; Mrs. Joseph Boris, and Miss Katie Mills, Morgantown; Mrs. John Burns, Lonaconing, and Mrs. Robert Maly, Morgantown, also survive."
