He had been in failing health two months. Born in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Joseph and Winifred (Donahue) Mills. He was a member of Potomac Fire Company No. 2 for 52 years, and was a retired guard for Westvaco's Luke mill. He was also a member of the Senior Citizen's Club. Surviving are his widow, Mabel (Elliott) Mills; one son, Charles Patrick Mills, Leonardtown; one daughter, Patricia Jo Mills, Elkins, W.Va.; three brothers, Lawrence Mills, Ohio; Francis Mills, Brownsville, Pa.; John Mills, here; four sisters, Mrs. Bridget Sultzer, Mrs. Catherine Story and Mrs. Anna Robertson, all of here; Mrs. Cecelia Wiltison, Luke, and three grandsons. Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery. The rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be members of Potomac Fire Company No. 2, Danny Taylor, Russell Wilson, James Cirillo, Ronald Wiltison, William Mayles, Jr., and Robert Shimer.
