"The Cumberland News" Cumberland, Maryland 3 Jul 1964: "
Frostburg-Leonard P. Monahan, 71, died yesterday morning in the Detroit 
Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. A resident 
of Detroit, he was the son of the late Patrick F. and Elizabeth (Donahue) 
Monahan and was born in Frostburg. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Mae 
(Garlitz) Monahan; a son, William M. Monahan, Birmingham, Michigan; a 
daughter, Mrs. Roderick Park, Livonia, Michigan; two brothers, Joseph E. 
Monahan, Detroit and Edward M. Monahan, San Diego; and two sisters, Mrs. 
Anna Dell Malloy, Mt. Savage and Mrs. Margaret Stapleton, Frostburg. 
Services will be conducted in Detroit on Monday at 9 a.m."
