Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 8 Feb 1947: 
"Frostburg-Patrick Monahan, 66, retired coal miner, died this 
morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Siebert, 
Eckhart, after a lingering illness.  He was a member of St. 
Michael's Catholic Church, here, and belonged to the Holy Name 
Society of the Parish. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary 
(Freal) Monahan, Cumberland; three sons, Arthur, John and 
Thomas, all of Washington; another daughter,  Mrs. Glenn 
Ritchie, Lonaconing; three brothers, Edward, James and John 
Monahan, Frostburg; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Green, 
Lonaconing; Mrs. Anderson Green, Frostburg, and Mrs. Ralkph 
Ackerson, Cumberland, and a grandchild."
