Page 9. Funeral of James W. Moore. The funeral of James W. Moore, aged 72, 315 Cecilia street, died at Allegany Hospital yesterday of injuries sustained in being struck at the Union street crossing, will take place Saturday afternoon with service at the home at 3 o’clock. Burial will be in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the Indian wars. He entered the regular army as a youth shortly after the close of the Civil War and served two enlistments in the Far West and in the Apache Indian campaigns in New Mexico. He was discharged with a fine record. He was a charter member of the Red Men in Cumberland. Additional Comments: James was married to Mary Elizabeth Piles (1851-1884)and had children Mary Agnes & Anna DeRotha Moore (twins) and Sarah/Sadie Elizabeth Moore.
