Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 14 Apr 1925: 
"The funeral of Miss Mabel Moran, daughter of Mrs. Lucy Knott, who died this morning 
at Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, following a lingering illness, will take place at 
10 o'clock Friday morning with services at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Tho body was brought from Cumberland today to 
her late home on Westernport Hill."


The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 17 Apr 1925: 
"Miss Mabel Moran, 29 years of age, died at the Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, 
Tuesday afternoon shortly before one o'clock.  She entered the institution 
Sunday evening and underwent an operation for cancer on Monday morning.  The 
remains were brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. Wm. Knott, Westernport, 
Tuesday.  Besides her mother, she leaves a brother, Edward Moran, of 
Westernport, and three sisters, Mrs. Willis McCombs, of Luke; Mrs. Henry Guy 
and Mrs. Rex Frankland, of Westernport.  Miss Moran had been employed for the 
past six years as a clerk for the Maryland Glass Company, Cumberland.  The 
funeral service will be conducted this morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's 
Catholic Church."
