"Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Thur 3 Oct 1935: "
Thomas Francis Moran, aged 74 years, of Van Lear, Kentucky, an uncle of 
Edward Moran, of Westernport, died last Thursday at Potomac Valley 
Hospital, Keyser, where he was a patient a day or so. He was taken ill 
with pneumonia while visiting relatives in Elk Garden. Funeral services 
were held at the Catholic Church at Elk Garden Saturday morning, Rev. 
Father Morahan, of Keyser, officiating. Interment was in Elk Garden. Mr. 
Moran lived in Elk Garden and Piedmont before going to Kentucky, where 
he had been employed for a number of years by the Consolidated Coal 
Company. Two children survive: Miss Lydia and Thomas Moran, of Van Lear, 
Kentucky. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Cone, of Frederick, 
Colorado."
