"The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Thu 17 Apr 1947: "
Requiem Mass for Sister Alma Maria, the former Ella Morgan, who died 
Monday afternoon 14 Apr 1947 at the Nazarene Hospital, Philadelphia, 
was celebrated at the Mother House of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 
Philadelphia. Attending the funeral were Mrs. Agnes Bell, Mr. and 
Mrs. Charles Bell, Mrs. Mary Morgan Jenkins, Mrs. Richard Woy, Mr. 
and Mrs. James Laffey, and Mrs. Thomas F. O'Brien of the Tri-Towns, 
and Miss Clara Morgan, of Washington. Sister Alma Maria was a 
daughter of the late Michael Morgan and Mary E. Lannon, of Piedmont. 
She entered the Order of the Sisters of St. Joseph in her girlhood 
days and was last stationed at the Presentation Convent, Cheltenham, 
Pa. She had been hospitalized for two weeks. Surviving are four 
sisters, Mrs. James Laffey and Mrs.. Agnes Bell, of Westernport; 
Mrs. Mary Jenkins, of Piedmont, and Miss Clara Morgan, of Washington, 
who were with her when the end came, and two brothers, Michael, of 
Baltimore, and William Morgan, of Piedmont."
