Evening Times, Cumberland, Fri 9 Apr 1943: 
"Lonaconing, April 9. Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Cook Muir, 
73, were conducted Friday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
H. H. Atkinson, 16 Allegany street, by by the Rev. Lewis F. 
Ransom, First Methodist Church.  Interment was in Oak Hill 
Cemetery.  Mrs. Muir, a native of Lonaconing, left here 40 years 
ago and made her home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She died Saturday 
evening in a hospital in Rock Springs from a cerebral hemorrhage. 
Surviving, besides her husband, David Muir, is one son, H. W. 
Cook.  Matthew Anderson, a nephew, who reided with her, is now 
serving in the U. S. Army, Fort Washington, Md."
