"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Tue 25 Oct 1960: 
"Bernard Aloysius Murphy, 62, died suddenly yesterday at his home, 132 Main Street, Ridgeley. 
A native of Lonaconing, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Mary J. (Dougherty) Murphy. 
Mr. Murphy retired several years ago from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad because of ill 
health. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and 
Cumberland Council 586, Knights of Columbus. Surviving are two brothers, John J. and Francis 
D. Murphy, both of Cumberland, and as sister, Miss Rose Murphy, at home. The body is a the 
Scarpelli Funeral Home."
