“Cumberland Evening Times” Cumberland, Maryland 1 Apr 1920: 
“Mrs. Mary Nichols, 34, wife of James Nichols, died early this 
morning at her home in Lonaconing following a brief illness of 
pneumonia. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, 
Helen, Sarah, Ruth, Edna and Robert Nichols, and her parents and 
several sisters and brothers. The funeral will probably take place 
Saturday with burial in Oak Hill cemetery, Lonaconing.”
