"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 26 Feb 1952: 
"Westernport-Robert C. Nichols, 22, died last night at his home, 432 
Hammond Street, where he had been ill several months. He was the son 
of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nichols. He was employed by Kelly's Taxi before 
his illness. He was a member of Piedmont Trinity Methodist Church. 
Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Sgt William T. 
Nichols, who returned recently from Army service in Korea, and two 
sisters, Miss Joann Nichols, Miss Marlene Nichols, both at home. 
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery."
