"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Thu 16 Sep 1943: 
"Mrs. Sarah Nichols, wife of George Nichols, died at Fairmont, W. Va., 
Monday night. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Keating, she 
spent her early life in Lonaconing. Surviving besides her husband are 
six daughters and two sons, all of Fairmont and vicinity; one sister, 
Miss Katherine Keating, Frostburg; and one brother, Thomas Keating, 
Lonaconing. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews of this 
section. A requiem mass was celebrated this morning in Fairmont with 
interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lonaconing."
